Good things come to those who wait

Hi! My name is Lily and I have my own blog called I Stole Chanel: theadventuresofathriftyshopper. You can visit it here. It is only a few days old, so there aren't many posts, but bare with me. I just wanted to write a piece on patience when shopping at op shops.

I went op shopping with my sister and friend on Monday. I have been dying to go for a while, so I was very excited when I could go. We went into Lifeline first and I combed each rack, looking for  that real "diamond in the rough". At first I didn't see anything and I felt myself getting a little bit annoyed. However, I just kept thinking, "Be patient. Keep looking."

I kept looking and I found 3 great pieces.
Item #1
Shop: Lifeline
Item: LANVIN Paris black evening bag
Cost: $6
Retail: LANVIN Paris handbags and totes retail for EUR 690 to EUR 17,900 or AUD $1,025 to AUD $26,611.
Item #2
Shop: Lifeline
Item: Valleygirl floral day-dress
Cost: $6
Retail: I am unsure what Valleygirl day-dresses retail for, but I am guessing AUD $30+

Item #3
Shop: St. Vincent de Paul aka Vinnies
Item: Stella McCartney for Target tulip-style, dark navy blue skirt
Cost: $5
Retail: This skirt retailed for AUD $119 to AUD $120

The saying is so true. Be patient, as good things really do come to those who wait. When op shopping, be patient and scour the racks. If you don't find anything one day, you may come back a week later and you will purchase virtually all the items in the store.

Never stop looking for that diamond in the rough.

$5 bag sale this Saturday 29 March, from 9am to 12pm.  Grab all the clothes you can fit into the supplied  bag for just $5*.
